See you at AWS re:Invent 2022!

See you at AWS re:Invent 2022!

It’s almost time for the annual migration of cloud techies to Las Vegas! I’ve been working within my employer, Onica by Rackspace Technology, on multiple treats for attendees who come visit us.

First Timer?

Going this year, but have never attended in person before? Rackspace’s Chief Technology Evangelist Jeff DeVerter, Director of Cloud Native Development Matt Puccio, and I chatted about How to Survive AWS re:Invent. Watch for our collective tips:

Game Day!

Monday morning at re:Invent is Game Day! There are a few options, but you might want to check out this one - it looks really cool 🦄:

Knights of AI!

I'm excited to tell you that I've been part of a small team of engineers, architects, UI designers, and marketing folks to build for you a fun interactive game you can play at re:Invent. I'm really looking forward to seeing the response to this - it's going to be hot! 🔥 Prizes are awarded each day, but the real fun is how this shows off what we can do with Machine Learning and the type of software design I like to go on and on about: cloud native, serverless, event-driven, clean code, and automated testing!

Pictures say more than words, so what a wealth of knowledge these 54,000 pictures streamed into a video must be! (3 minutes @ 30fps)

Watch this behind the scenes video about Knights of AI:

Marketing put out a little clip of my personal invitation to you too:

Come Visit

I’ll be hanging out in the Venetian Expo for much of re:Invent - primarily at booth 244. I’d love to chat cloud native software architecture and engineering with you. I’ll do an official presentation about how we built Knights of AI at some time, in the booth. (Follow me on LinkedIn and I’ll post the day and time when I know it.)
